Cookie Policy

Effective date: July 30, 2026 · Last updated: July 30, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Syzygia ("Syzygia", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) on syzygia.io and the Syzygia platform (together, the "Services"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Our approach is simple: we keep cookies to a minimum. We do not set any advertising, cross-site tracking, or social media cookies, and we never sell data collected through cookies.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include browser local storage (data stored by your browser that is not sent to a server with every request) and pixels. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these unless stated otherwise.

2. The cookies and storage we use

2.1 Strictly necessary (always active)

These are required for the site or platform to function and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across sites.

  • szg-consent — browser local storage that remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask you on every visit. Kept until you clear your browser data.
  • Authentication and session storage (platform only) — used to keep you signed in securely and to protect your account (for example, session tokens and CSRF protection). Kept for the duration of your session or as needed for security.

2.2 Analytics (optional — only with your consent)

If — and only if — you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type), with IP anonymization enabled:

  • _ga — distinguishes visitors. Expires after up to 2 years.
  • _ga_* — maintains session state. Expires after up to 2 years.

If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC; see the Google Privacy Policy.

2.3 What we do not use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No cross-site or fingerprinting tracking.
  • No social media pixels or embedded trackers.
  • No sale or sharing of cookie data for advertising purposes.

3. Consent — how it works

On your first visit we show a consent banner. Optional cookies are only set after you click "Accept" (opt-in). Your choice is stored locally in szg-consent and respected on every page of the site.

Where required by the EU/UK GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, our legal basis for optional cookies is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

4. How to withdraw or change your choice

  • Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your choice. Withdrawing consent removes existing analytics cookies from your browser and stops further collection.
  • Use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Configure your browser to block or delete cookies (see your browser's help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge). Blocking strictly necessary storage may affect sign-in and the consent mechanism itself.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example if we add or remove a tool. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. If a change introduces a new optional cookie, we will ask for your consent again.
